Auction Piece Benefiting St. Luke’s Home

The 99th Baile de Las Flores to benefit St. Luke’s Home was held Saturday April 21st 2018 at the Mountain Oyster Club. In 1919, the St. Luke’s Board of Visitors organized the first charity ball ever held in the Tucson community.

St. Luke’s Baile Show at Jane Hamilton Fine Art Gallery

This year the Baile is featuring their Artist of the Year for 2018, Barry Sapp. Barry’s terrific rendering in the style of pulp fiction artists of the 30’s and 40’s is called “Suddenly Spooked.”  The painting was raffled off to support Tucson’s oldest charity, St. Luke’s Home. The award winning artist of Native American and historic western subjects in watercolor & acrylic, donated the uniquely styled 18 X 14 watercolor for this year’s benefit. All monies raised from the painting and the Baile are to benefit St. Luke’s Home, a non-profit, non-denominational holistic home for elders of limited financial means. St. Luke’s is the only registered Eden Alternative community in Arizona.
